The exotically named Elizabeth Bridgetina was the ninth of James and Alice STOCKING's
children , born in around 1886-7 according to the censuses. The birth of an Elizabeth Bridgetina was registered in September 1886 in Camberwell. At the time of the 1901 census, she is living with her parents, aged 14, and is recorded as 'Lizzie'. It is likely that she is the 'Mrs EB Evans, daughter' who registered the death of her father, James Thomas STOCKING, in 1920, at 96 Ringstead Road, Catford. There is a FreeBMD marriage entry for Elizabeth Bridgetina STOCKING and Arthur William EVANS in the March quarter of 1910 in Lewisham. Arthur may well be the son of Thomas George EVANS whose second wife was Elizabeth Sarah HILL, nee WINDEBANK, mother-in-law of Lizzie's brother James. The only child shown in FreeBMD, mother's name STOCKING, with surname EVANS, is Elizabeth B (probably Bridgetina) in Lewisham in March 1916.
