Lavinia Brown's death certificate found

I'd been looking for Lavinia Brown's death for a while and finally tracked the index record down following an entry in a family bible for 1944. I ordered the certificate and found it was the right one. A contact via MyRoots also forwarded a copy of Lavinia's original death certificate issued on the day of registration.

The certificate shows that Lavinia died on 9th May 1944 aged 82 years, at 11 South Road, Sandy, Bedfordshire. Her son George Brown registered her death on 30th May 1944; his address is given as 45 Drove Road, Biggleswade. Lavinia is described as widow of Charles Brown, Railway Platelayer.

Lavinia died from broncho pneumonia, exhaustion and glaucoma.
