Annie and Susan Caroline STOCKING were probably the last two daughters born to Alice and Thomas STOCKING (reputed to have had 21 children in all). Because they are still very young at the time of the 1901 census, I know very little about them, but hope that others researching the STOCKING line will fill in some gaps at some point. What I know amounts so far to:
1901 census:
Annie, aged 8 (born c. 1893) and Susan, aged 4 (born c. 1897). Both born in Camberwell, and living at 44 Herman Road, Camberwell with their parents and other siblings.
FreeBMD:
June 1895, birth of Mary Ann S, Camberwell (1d 992) and Susan Caroline, March 1897, Camberwell (1d 990).
However, the only reason for calling Annie Mary Ann is information provided by a Genes Reunited contact a few years ago. There is a birth entry for an Annie Louise STOCKING in September 1892 in Camberwell which may also be 'our' Annie. FreeBMD also has a marriage entry for the June quarter of 1918 for Annie L STOCKING and Francis TURNER, in Lewisham, which may be Alice and Thomas' daughter.
Susan Caroline may have married in the September quarter of 1919, in Lewisham, to a Frederick T TURNER (1d 2666). There is a FreeBMD birth index entry for a Dorothy B SMITH in June 1920 in Lewisham (mother's surname STOCKING) which may be this couple's child.
Hopefully I'll be able to fill in the gaps of their lives at some point.
